Happy "Hump Day"!
I wanted to talk a little about how I've been doing in my little "glamify project". I think at first I was doing this to become more pretty to everyone else, but I found that in reality I am doing this for myself. I have not ever been a really pretty person, and I have had a lot of hard times because of my bad self image. This experiment has made me believe that everyone is beautiful... but in order for other people to see it, you have to believe it first. You are beautiful. Period. Don't let anyone, including yourself say anything different. Be beautiful for you, and everyone else will see it. When you feel good, you shine. As the poet Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "Love of beauty is taste. The creation of beauty is art." You truly are a work of art and don't let anyone convince you of anything less.
Another thing I found is that you don't have to buy expensive make up for quality and a good look. I really like make up from Mabelline, Covergirl and other inexpensive brands that you find at CVS! You can save in certain areas (such as eyeshadow and mascara) while spending a little more for better quality in others (for me, foundation and eyeliner). Classy doesn't mean expensive!
I do feel a lot better about myself now that I get up in the morning and do my hair and make up to start my day off right! I actually think about what I am going to wear before I throw things on. I want to inspire people to feel and be beautiful, so I am going to continue this blog with beauty and fashion tips, advice and reviews! I am not an expert... that's given, but I do feel anyone can motivate others and cheer them on to happiness with themselves.

I saw your comment on another blog asking whether MAC is worth the money and I just had to leave you a comment being a recent MAC convert myself. I always thought that there was no way MAC products could be that great, they're overpriced, blah blah blah. I took the plunge one day after reading so many wonderful things about All That Glitters eyeshadow...I am never turning back. I've ordered a few things now from MAC and I just have to say that their eyeshadows are the finish and consistency that I've been looking for FOREVER in a drugstore brand product. I suggest doing some research and trying out an eyeshadow to see how you like it. If you don't, at least you're only out 14$. Could be worse :)
ReplyDeletewell written =) It doesn't matter what others think as long as you're happy with yourself and how you look. Looking forward to all your posts.
